Happy St. Patrick's Day

Of course we all wore green to the zoo and we finished our day with a green dinner. I made green beans, chicken and rice. I put green food coloring in the rice. The girls thought it was weird, but they liked it.

3rd day of Spring Break

Today we spent the day at the Dallas Zoo. Matt had to work but Aunt Jenna was able to go with me and the kids. We got there right when it opened and stayed until late afternoon. We saw all the animals, rode the carousel, and played at the children's zoo. That is where they got to pet the chicken.

2nd day of Spring Break

Today Matt worked from home so we all stayed at home until he was ready to play. We spent the afternoon at the Allen Natatorium. It has a leisure pool featuring a flume slide, interactive water play elements, and a lazy river. Aunt Jenna joined us as well. The girls love to swim. Ella likes to go down the big flume slide. Nia is not tall enough. Hopefully next year. Liam thought the water was too cold so he wasn't quite his normal playful self.

1st day of Spring Break

We started our spring break with a trip to the Museum on Nature & Science. It is a combination of the Dallas Museum of Natural History, The Science Place and the Dallas Children’s Museum. Aunt Jenna and Grandma Debby were able to go with us. We got there right when they opened and left around 3pm. I think we saw and explored everything we could. Ella has been studying Texas history in school so it was fun to see her excited about the Texas exhibit. Nia liked dressing up as a fire fighter and of course they all loved playing with Aunt Jenna. We had a great day!

Art Work

My girls are very creative and love to draw. We can't possibly keep everything so I came up with a plan. I hang them on the wall in our kitchen and when the wall is full I take a picture and throw them away. The girls agreed to the plan and it helps with clutter.

Of course Liam had to be apart of the action too.

Pine Wood Dirby

Matt and Ella joined the YMCA Adventure Princess program last month and today was their Dirby Day. Ella picked the design, Matt cut it and Ella painted it. She one 2nd place in the most colorful car category. Her car did pretty good. It raced about 5 times before elimination.

Becoming a Big Boy

The girls were eating their snack outside today. So Liam thought he was a big kid too and climbed up, sat at the table and asked for something to eat. The first picture is him with a mouth full of cracker. The second picture is Liam with the knee pad again.

Ella's Valentine's Party

Since Ella's Valentine's party was canceled on Friday because the school closed due to snow, they had the party today. Luckily I was still able to attend and help run the party. They all seemed to have a lot of fun. The picture is Ella at her desk with all her valentines.

Valentine's Day Weekend

We had a nice Valentine's Day weekend. Saturday night Matt and I went to dinner at Luigi's and then saw "Nunsense" at the Rockwall County Playhouse. Sunday I made pink pancakes for the girls and Matt gave us roses. Since it is President's Day today, we didn't have to go to work or school so we went to Chuck E Cheese. The girls had a lot of fun. Liam loves to explore so he had a blast, too.
