Daddy & Daughter Dance

Ella's first Daddy & Daughter Dance was tonight at the YMCA. Ella was so excited. Matt bought her a wrist corsage. I think it is such a silly tradition because most of the kids take it off by time they get to the dance. But Matt didn't want to leave her out because he knew that most of the other dads would follow the tradition and they did. Ella kept it on at least through dinner, which was a nice catered dinner. It was a Luau theme as you can see in the picture they took at the dance. Ella said her favorite thing about the dance was playing with the beach balls. She also did very well at the limbo game. She was one of 5 girls left when they finally called it quits.

Snow Again

After a beautiful Spring Break, we had snow again today. 9.5 in. Can you believe this crazy Texas weather? I've already put our winter stuff away. We decided to stay home and have an indoor family day. Liam wasn't sure what to think when he saw the girls eating snow.

5th day of Spring Break

Today was the last day of spring break. I took my kids to Bounce Town (Indoor Inflatable Fun Center). Ella was so excited because she doesn't get to go anymore because they are only open on Friday mornings. So I told all my friends that we were going and a good group showed up to play. Aunt Jenna came too. I am so glad she decided to spend her Spring Break with us.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Of course we all wore green to the zoo and we finished our day with a green dinner. I made green beans, chicken and rice. I put green food coloring in the rice. The girls thought it was weird, but they liked it.

3rd day of Spring Break

Today we spent the day at the Dallas Zoo. Matt had to work but Aunt Jenna was able to go with me and the kids. We got there right when it opened and stayed until late afternoon. We saw all the animals, rode the carousel, and played at the children's zoo. That is where they got to pet the chicken.

2nd day of Spring Break

Today Matt worked from home so we all stayed at home until he was ready to play. We spent the afternoon at the Allen Natatorium. It has a leisure pool featuring a flume slide, interactive water play elements, and a lazy river. Aunt Jenna joined us as well. The girls love to swim. Ella likes to go down the big flume slide. Nia is not tall enough. Hopefully next year. Liam thought the water was too cold so he wasn't quite his normal playful self.

1st day of Spring Break

We started our spring break with a trip to the Museum on Nature & Science. It is a combination of the Dallas Museum of Natural History, The Science Place and the Dallas Children’s Museum. Aunt Jenna and Grandma Debby were able to go with us. We got there right when they opened and left around 3pm. I think we saw and explored everything we could. Ella has been studying Texas history in school so it was fun to see her excited about the Texas exhibit. Nia liked dressing up as a fire fighter and of course they all loved playing with Aunt Jenna. We had a great day!

Art Work

My girls are very creative and love to draw. We can't possibly keep everything so I came up with a plan. I hang them on the wall in our kitchen and when the wall is full I take a picture and throw them away. The girls agreed to the plan and it helps with clutter.

Of course Liam had to be apart of the action too.

Pine Wood Dirby

Matt and Ella joined the YMCA Adventure Princess program last month and today was their Dirby Day. Ella picked the design, Matt cut it and Ella painted it. She one 2nd place in the most colorful car category. Her car did pretty good. It raced about 5 times before elimination.
