Back to Tummy!

Liam rolled over from back to tummy on Saturday, April 25. He was playing on his back on the butterfly (pictured above) while Matt and I were doing the dishes. We both happened to look up at Liam and saw the flip to his tummy. It surprised all of us including Liam. I wish I had the camera ready when it happened because the look on Liam's face was hilarious. We are still waiting for him to do it again.

Nia - Hair Cut

Nia got a hair cut! I was looking through pictures from last summer and remembered how much I liked it short. So we did it again. I have a friend in the Sachse Ward that cuts hair in her home. I love it and so does Nia. Now Ella is trying to decided whether she wants to get a hair cut or not.

Nia's Necklace

Nia asked if she could make a necklace today. All I had were Cheerios and as you can see she started to eat it before she even finished it. She never did wear it.

Flying in the Sky

Matt was lifting Liam up in the air and he thought it was pretty funny so I had to grab the camera. (Note how Liam smirks with daddy's kiss).

Ella lost a tooth!

Ella finally lost her top tooth today right before bed. It seemed like it was loose forever. Matt tricked her into using floss to pull it out. She said she would try pulling it and then she quickly gave up so he pulled on the floss to take it off and the tooth came with it. She was mad at him for a while but soon got over it. She has lost a total of 3 now. Her bottom 2 teeth are already her adult teeth.

Happy Earth Day!

Ella was given an assignment at school to make a Recycled Art Work to bring to class on Earth Day. So she dug through our recycle trash bin and found empty food boxes and a plastic bottle. With that, some buttons and yarn this is what she came up with.

Toes!

Liam found his toes! He is reaching out and using his hands more and more every day. The girls got so excited when they saw him grab his toes.

Bluebonnets

Bluebonnets are our state flower and they are in full bloom right now. So of course the girls have been bugging us to look at them up close. Usually it is just a drive by. So we spent our beautiful Sunday afternoon looking at them. I don’t know if it was the sun or wind, but Liam was always looking down at the bluebonnets. He wouldn’t ever look at the camera. The girls wanted to take some home, but they were really good about not stepping on the flowers or picking them. We even found one lonely red flower. I am not sure what kind it is, but it was pretty amongst the blue. The girls also found plenty of ladybugs. Ella in the picture is showing Nia the ladybug on her hand.

Firestation Visit

The 3rd fire station in Wylie, which is located just down the street from us, had its Grand Opening Celebration today from 2:00-5:00 pm. We watched it being built as we passed it every day to and from school. The girls have been asking, ever since it looked finished, to go and see it. So we decided to go to its grand opening. We arrived along with the Toups family at about 4:40 pm. The captain greeted us and gave us an awesome tour of the facility and equipment. The girls had lots of fun, but I think the dads probably had more fun. We were there for over an hour! (The last photos is of Nia at the wheel and Ella looking over the window. This fire truck was restored by the Wylie Fire Department.)

Dressing up has begun!

This is what happens when a boy has two older sisters. Ella told us this morning that she played dress-up with Liam last night when Aunt Danna and Uncle Eric baby-sat for us. So she showed us what she did to him. I foresee many pictures like this one in the future.

Ballet Girls!

Nia and Ella for the past 6 weeks have been taking a ballet course through the City of Sachse’s Park and Recreation Department. They had so much fun. The session ended today. (We used our digital camera so the video is not the best. Ella's video got cut off short because my memory card was full.)

Circle of Fun!

A crazy idea right before bed. It took several shots before we got everyone in the picture.

Liam Laughed!

Liam laughed for the first time today. I ran to get the digital camera soon after it happened.
